Quotes Worth Keeping (and Scanning)

Some sentences hitch a ride in your head for years. Most reading apps treat them as an afterthought — a notes field you forget exists, or a highlight buried in a Kindle export you never open again.

We wanted a place that feels like marginalia: a quote wall you can browse, favourite, and share with the people reading alongside you.

Your personal quote wall

From any book in your library, save a passage with optional page or chapter context. On the Quotes page you can:

  • Browse every saved line in one visual wall
  • Filter by book or show favourites only
  • Edit, favourite, or delete as your taste changes

Quotes are tied to books you have actually shelved — so your wall stays grounded in what you are reading, not a random scrapbook of screenshots.

Scan a page, keep the line

Reading a physical book? Open the quote scanner, photograph the page, and we extract the text so you can trim and save without retyping. Use it when a line hits mid-metro ride and you do not want to lose it.

Push favourites to your club

Finished a club book and collected the best lines? Push a personal quote onto your club’s collaborative quote board so everyone can see what landed. It is a quieter kind of discussion — one that lives next to the schedule, the poll, and the chapter chat.

Pair it with ambience

While you read (and capture quotes), ambient soundtracks — cafe murmur, monsoon rain, lo-fi, fireplace, forest — sit in the app shell so the session feels like a place, not just a screen.

The quote wall, scanner, and club quote board are part of the product we are opening to early readers. Reserve your handle at thereadingclub.in.
