About The Reading Club

The Reading Club (thereadingclub.in) is a community platform built for Indian book lovers. We are creating a single home for everything readers already do across WhatsApp groups, Goodreads, and scattered meetup tools — structured discussions, book clubs, local chapters, and peer-to-peer book swaps.

Our mission

Reading is better together. We want to make it easy for Indian readers to find their people, discuss books without spoilers, track progress with a club, and meet up in real life — whether you read in English, Hindi, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, or any other language.

What we are building

• Chapter-gated discussions — spoiler-safe threads that unlock as you progress through a book.
• Book clubs with shared schedules — read at a comfortable pace with people who care about the same story.
• Vernacular hubs — communities organised by language and genre, so niche readers feel at home.
• Local chapters — cafe meetups, park readings, and author events in cities across India.
• Book swap marketplace — list books for sale or exchange with readers near you.

Where we are today

The Reading Club is currently in early development. Our landing page lets you join the waitlist and reserve a username before launch. We are building the platform in the open and will roll out features in phases — starting with community discussions and clubs, then local events and the book swap marketplace.

Who we are for

Casual readers, book club organisers, regional-language literature fans, students, working professionals, and anyone who has ever finished a great book and wished they had someone to talk to about it.
